2017 Francophone Song Contest wraps up at Yellow Crane Tower


On March 25, 2017, the finals of the Francophone Song Contest 2017, one of the major activities of the 22nd Francophonie, ended successfully at the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province.

The winners of the 6 regional finals from Shenyang, Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu and Guangzhou, met in Wuhan and Liu Yifan from the Shanghai area won the championship. He will enjoy a trip to France during the Avignon Theatre Festival.

The Francophone Song Contest celebrated its 17th edition this year as a tradition. Chinese aged between 18 and 25, who learn French and has a minimum B1 level, are invited to show their singing skills by interpreting a selected piece from 60 French songs.
