Good news! Alipay is going to be accepted on all public buses in Wuhan since the coming mid-August.
According to Wuhan Bus Group, the 8,000 public buses running in the city will all be equipped with a QR reader before mid-August, and then the passengers could pay for the bus via Alipay, the largest mobile payment application developed by the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
Since the end of 2016, two bus lines in Wuhan, 402 and 576, have started to offer mobile payment.
