Central China Normal University (CCNU) or Huazhong Normal University (华中师范大学; pinyin: Huázhōng Shīfàn Dàxué), located in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, is a comprehensive university directly under the administration of the Chinese Ministry of Education. The current CCNU president is Yang ZongKai (杨宗凯).

CCNU, Central China Normal University, also known as Huazhong Normal University, is a leading University located in Wuhan. According to http://www.cuaa.net/cur/2016/ (2016) CCNU is ranked 34th among Chinese universities.

There are a large number of programs available in English with almost 3000 international students enrolled as CCNU students. Programmes on offer in English include Film and Television Production, Bioinformatics, Actuarial Science and an introduction to MBBS at Wenzhou Medical University (WMU).

Student Unions

Student Union, Postgraduate Student Union and Students’ Association Union are the three main student organizations of Central China Normal University (CCNU), all of which are characterized with self-education, self-management and self-service. There are nationality based student unions and the Association of Kazakh Students of CCNU being the biggest one.

CCNU hosts an annual international cultural festival, primarily organised by the international students of CCNU. At these festivals some traditions, food and outfits from students’ home countries are showcased. Interactions between international and Chinese students at such festivals create a learning environment of a different kind. As there are no right or wrong answers, all in attendance will be exposed to diverse experiences and will surely leave with a memorable impression of the different cultures exhibited.
