Results of the “Survey on Economic Life in China 2016-2017” were released in Beijing on February 20. Wuhan was again selected as one of the “Top 10 Happiest Cities in China.”
Wuhan, Lhasa, Chengdu, Changchun, Yinchuan, Tianjin, Hefei, Changsha, Haikou, and Shijiazhuang are rated as the Top 10 provincial cities or municipalities with the highest happiness index out of the 104 cities surveyed in China.
The city happiness index is interpreted based on polls and data, with theinvestigation results being released on site.
The top three reasons for happiness in Wuhan are transportation, food safety, and living conditions. Education, entertainment, and social security conditions are expected to be improved for future surveys.
Started in 2006, the “Survey on Economic Life in China” is presently the largest convergence media investigation project in China. It is jointly sponsored by CCTV (Central China Television), the National Bureau of Statistics of the People’s Republic of China, China Post Group Corporation, and the National School of Development of Peking University.
Wu Xiaobo, a famous financial writer, believes Wuhan deserves the name of “Happy City in China,” and he also mentioned that Wuhan is a great place for entrepreneurs now, as it has already overcome the prerequisite information and capital barriers.
