China Southern Airlines plans to open a 13-hour direct flight from Wuhan to London in January 2018. It will be the sixth intercontinental air route from Wuhan, following those to Paris, Moscow, San Francisco, Rome, and Sydney.
London is one of the most important aviation hubs in the world with Heathrow Airport being one of the busiest airports globally. Most of its flights are international ones flying to nearly 100 countries. Air tickets for Wuhan to London will be available by the end of this year. In addition, China Southern Airlines will offer direct flights from Wuhan to Manila on November 6 with a Boeing 738.
It will fly four times weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Flights depart from Wuhan at 00:45 A.M. and arrive in Manila at 3:40 A.M. Return flights depart from Manila at 4:40 A.M. local time and arrive at 8:10 A.M. in Wuhan.
In the early days of the operation, the discounted ticket price will only be RMB 670.
