From January 27 to 30, 2017 (from Chinese Spring Festival Eve to the third day of the first month of the lunar calendar), 309,600 people visited the East Lake, according to the Wuhan Tourism Bureau.

With the construction of the East Lake Greenway and the free opening of Moshan Hill, East Lake is becoming more and more popular among Wuhan people. During the Spring Festival, the greenway launched a series of activities to attract tourists, including the festival of plum blossoms and the traditional temple fair.
