The Wuhan Urban Construction Investment and Development Group Corporation announced on May 13 that the project to colorize, beautify and light up Changjiang Axis bridges received official approval.

The renovation will start in the second half of the year and be completed inJune of next year. The plan includes eight bridges from the Baishazhou Yangtze River Bridge downstream to the Tianxingzhou Yangtze River Bridge. Seven are on the Yangtze River and one is on the Han River.

The bridges will be illuminated in the evening with light shows that will add a rich and colorful nocturnal element to the city landscape, harmoniously blending into the riverfront landscape along the Changjiang Axis.

The general effect will be compelling with scenes such as  “Moonlight on a Starry River” light show staged on the Wuhan Yangtze River Second Bridge, and light projections on the bottom of the bridge.

When visitors cruise the Yangtze River, they will enjoy a vertical light show. It will be a great bridge-appreciation experience.
