Wuhan and Yangtze River, because of the meeting of two world leaders, has become the focus of the world’s attention in recent weeks.
Recently, CCTV News Channel launched a special report” Live Yangtze Rive”r and aimed the lens at Wuhan once again to focus on the river in a city.
HANS’s short video Cross River has been broadcasted on CCTV special programs.
Cheer on Wuhan
Maybe there will be no other people
Like Wuhan people that would love a river so openly
That they nicknamed their city “Jiangcheng”
“Be prosperous because of the water and be attractive because of the river”:that is the rhetoric to outsiders. Lightly crossing the river, generously greeting the experienced and seniors, romantic dating or courtship…
These are the daily lives & interactions of Wuhan people with the Yangtze River.
The children growing up on the river banks have crafty water skills. They throw out childhood swimming rings and happily plunge into the water. Ripples of memory that have swayed in the mind for several years have finally met the eyes.
The water level of the Dragon King Temple once touched the nerves. But the cool wicker chair and the cattail leaf fan are still shaking leisurely and carefree. Wuhan people know that long days are still joyful.
From the Wharf to Hankou. After seeing Hanzheng Street you will see what “a big world” really is.
It will take you ten minutes to cross the river back and forth by ferry.
During the process, you will experience scenarios from hundreds of years ago,
Adding poetic elements to an ordinary city life.
Living by the water is a poetic characteristic of Chinese culture.
The Yangtze River has become a rare source of living water for the Wuhan people that are firm in speech but soft in heart.
When you are emotional even a breeze can rock your heart.
Sitting on the river bank after smoking a pack of “Yellow Crane Tower” cigarettes , you may find that you have only finished listening to one Hanyangmen Garden. The passed times flow through memory mirages and form a river.
The river water teaches people to be kind and open-minded. No matter how things bother them, look to the turbid water of the Yangtze River and the clear water of the Han River. The waters repel and blend on the dividing line.
You will know that the sky is high, the water is wide and be suddenly enlightened.
Who could imagine that the softest texture in the city winding the way out of the broad chest of a city?
The Yangtze River is the heart of Wuhan and also holds the luck of the city.
Without this water area, it’s hard to imagine that in the seamless docking of food steamers and ice cellars. What can extinguish “mental fires”? Pour masculinity and irrigate tenderness
In Wuhan, both life and travel are centered around rivers. There are 11 ferry lines, 9 Yangtze River Bridges, 3 river-crossing subway lines, and 1 Yangtze River Tunnel. Passing by the river and the mountains and then winding a few bends. Winding out the legend of the bus racing with trains on bridge as well as the humour of the long-distance love between Wuchang and Hankou.
The Yangtze River looks like the beating pulse, and the clearest skeleton.
Above & below it.
The grandeur of bridge, the quietness of the tunnel and the magic of the cross-river subway. Hold up the fortress of a good life.

The river beach is both a life museum and a happy paradise, offering literary to rustic and wild to healthy.
The river wind blows the reeds as well as the Spring snow a bend of haze, a place covered with reed floss, and a bright moon shining above the clear river. Girls with curvaceous bodies look purer than Aoi Miyazaki and more beautiful than Yu Aoi.
A view of the riverside will never exclude old men briskly walking by. Their faces have been etched into folktales over the years. They are hermits of the great city, the walking chronicle. The fishermen and hermits and high-ranking men, mastering the special skills of wandering life ranging from flying “jet kite” to operating “floating remote control car”. They can also blurt out the “Shi Shuo Xin Yu” from wild history to anecdotes
The long and prosperous life of the riverside let over and over generations under the bridge to form the personalities that are similar to the water: free, sloppy and unrestrained. Both hanker after the “coxcombries” and like to make a living wandering from place to place.
The story of the good old days taken away by the flowing water is unintentionally deep, and twists and turns along the river. It winds slowly and becomes a legend.
